Seven commissions as prescribed by the Charlotte Diocese were established at St. John Neumann in 2001 and revised in 2008. The purpose of these commissions is to support all of the ministries and activities at SJN by acting as liaisons to the Pastoral Council and by helping existing and new ministries to run smoothly and reach their individual goals and objectives. Welcome Committee — Hospitality, the quality of receiving and treating guests and strangers in a warm, friendly, generous way. "As Jesus commissioned His disciples to be the first teacher of the Church, the Saint John Neumann Education Commission seeks to continue this tradition by providing educational leadership for our parish community.  Our mission is to build a faith filled community based on the Gospel message by word and action through a threefold ministry of: proclaiming and teaching the Word to give understanding, building community on the foundation of the Word and serving the educational needs of all."
